Bonnet Cotton, Cote de Brouilly ‘100% Cotton’, 2023

This is the wine that put Domaine Bonnet-Cotton on the map, the emblematic cuvee from Pierre Cotton and Marine Bonnet. It comes from a parcel of 'corne verte' on Cote de Brouilly, an unusual blend of pink granite and diorite that Pierre says exists nowhere else in Beaujolais, and the extra elevation gives a firmer, more structured Gamay than the flatter Brouilly nearby. Organic farming, whole-cluster carbonic maceration, eight months in foudre, and no added sulfur keep it pure and transparent. Powerful yet refreshing, it is natural cru Beaujolais at its most serious.
