The Story
Charles Joguet pioneered the idea that Chinon, like Burgundy, is a tapestry of distinct terroirs, and he built a domaine of single-vineyard Cabernet Francs to prove it. Clos du Chene Vert is a steep, well-exposed limestone site that gives an especially structured, mineral wine. These bottles are dark and intense in youth and reward patience. The 2010, a firm, classically built vintage, has had well over a decade in bottle and is now arriving at a mature, expressive place.
