Chateau d'Yquem stands alone — the only estate classified Premier Cru Superieur in 1855, the undisputed summit of Sauternes. Made from botrytized Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc picked grape by grape over many passes, these wines age for generations. The 1990 completes a legendary trio of consecutive vintages and is itself one of the great modern Yquems — ripe, rich, and beautifully balanced. At thirty-five years it is fully mature but far from finished. A profound bottle for a special occasion, drinking now and for decades to come.
