Eric Texier, VDF Blanc "Adele", 2022

Éric Texier is known for his thoughtful, low-intervention Rhône wines, and “Adèle” might be his most quietly beautiful bottling. It’s 100% Clairette, sourced from granitic soils in St-Julien-en-St-Alban, and named for Texier’s daughter—which gives you a sense of how personal and lovingly made it is.

The 2022 is fresh and textured, with notes of pear skin, fennel, citrus pith, and crushed stone. There’s no oak, no flash—just soft curves, gentle grip, and an easy flow that makes it feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. Light, but not lightweight.
