The Gramolere vineyard, perched in the hills of Monforte d’Alba, is known for its compact clay-limestone soils and southeast exposure—yielding Barolo with firm tannins, brooding fruit, and long aging arcs. Fratelli Alessandria, based in Verduno but now working several prized crus across Barolo, approaches this site with traditional winemaking: long macerations, ambient yeast, and aging in large Slavonian oak botti.

The 2020 vintage brings freshness and focus to Gramolere’s usual muscle. Aromas of black cherry, rose petal, and forest floor lead into a structured palate of dark berries, iron, and dried herbs.
