The Story
A grand cru red from Domaine Hubert Lignier's modest holdings (just under one hectare) in one of Burgundy's most hallowed vineyards. Sourcing from two parcels planted between 1953 and 1965 on steep hillsides, the wine reflects the domaine's refined approachâroughly one-third whole clusters and one-third new oak aging. The 2019 shows layered complexity with blackcurrant, cherry, and loamy soil notes, silky initial impression giving way to immense, fine-grained tannin structure and considerable aging potential.
