The Story
Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne, the biodynamic specialist behind La Pierre Ronde, sources Les Perchots from a lieu-dit on the Volnay side of Meursault and ages it in a mix of oak barrels and terracotta amphorae — the wood for structure, the clay for aromatic openness. The result is a village Meursault with real personality: rich but lifted, with orchard fruit, a touch of toasted nuts, and a saline mineral cut. After eight years at Domaine Leflaive, Antoine clearly knows how to make white Burgundy sing. Drinks well now, better with a couple of years.
