Les Tours de Laroque, Saint Emilion, 2019

This is the second wine of Chateau Laroque, one of the largest and oldest estates in Saint-Emilion with roots going back nine centuries. Les Tours de Laroque draws on a selection of old vines, some over fifty years old, and offers the precision and limestone-plateau character of the grand vin in a softer, more immediately drinkable package. A Merlot-led blend rounded out with Cabernet Franc, it is charming and velvety young. Drink now and over the next decade.
