Maker's Mark, 46 Bourbon

Maker’s Mark 46 is the first release from the brand’s Wood Finishing Series, and it takes the soft, wheated core of classic Maker’s and gives it a flavor boost with a clever twist: after aging, the bourbon is finished with seared French oak staves inside the barrel for a few extra months. The result? More spice, more depth, and a silkier mouthfeel.

Expect warm notes of caramel, toasted oak, baking spice, and vanilla bean, with the wheat giving it that trademark Maker’s smoothness. The finish is longer and more layered than the standard bottling, with a touch of dark chocolate and dried fruit sneaking in.

It’s a great step up for Maker’s fans who want more complexity without leaving the wheated profile behind. Excellent neat, on a big rock, or in a rich Old Fashioned.
