Marcel Juge makes tiny quantities of 100% Syrah from steep granite slopes, ferments whole-cluster under a submerged cap, ages in crusty old demi-muids and bottles without filtration. The 2015 was an immense, intensely rich Northern Rhone vintage, with deeply embedded tannins and excellent balance hiding beneath all that fruit.
