Asili's small, circular vineyard catches a spectrum of exposures from its modest 230–290m elevation, its calcareous-clay soil with sand veins conferring profound finesse. The 2008—from a powerful, cool-ripened vintage—is a brooding masterpiece of structure and nerves. Nearly two decades in, it remains imposing and mineral, demanding cellaring patience but promising magnificent maturation through the 2040s.
