Haku is the Japanese craft vodka from the House of Suntory, representing a dedication to the art of distillation and the philosophy of 'jyunpaku'—pure brilliance. The name Haku translates to 'brilliance' and 'white,' a tribute to the craftsmanship that creates wonder from the simplest of ingredients: 100% pure Japanese white rice. The production process honors traditional Japanese methods: white rice is fermented with 'rice koji' to create a mash, which is then distilled through pot stills in Kagoshima, Kyushu—a region historically famous for its rice spirit-making expertise. The spirit undergoes a second distillation through two different processes to balance flavor and volume, then is filtrated through bamboo charcoal in the Suntory Liqueur Atelier at Osaka Plant.
