The Story
A single-vineyard Barbaresco from Quazzolo, one of the smallest growers in the appellation (around 10,000 bottles a year) and a name to know for traditionalists. The family has roots in the Ovello cru going back to 1958; third-generation Danilo Quazzolo now farms and even designs the labels himself. Cole is 100% Nebbiolo made in a classic, terroir-driven style. 2016 was a benchmark Piedmont vintage, structured and beautifully balanced, so this has the bones for the cellar but is starting to open. Give it a decant.
