This premier cru from the old vines of Narbantons represents Camus-Bruchon at its most serious and age-worthy. The south-facing exposure of Narbantons's clay-limestone soil produces wine with power, balance, and genuine complexity. The 2023 shows the rounder style typical of Savigny's southern slope—ripe spicy red fruits carried on a velvet texture, with tannins that promise 15+ years of development. Guillaume Camus, working the domaine since 1997, favors old vine intensity and mineral precision; these Narbantons parcels, planted nearly a century ago by his great-grandmother Reine Joly, are among his finest sites.
